Paintings

I have been painting for nearly a decade, well before college, but my preferred medium was always acrylic paints with an occasional use of watercolors. It wasn’t until college where I was “forced” to use a different medium, oils, which I feel truly broke me through the norm.

At first I hated oils because I had a hard time coping with the dying time and the way over mixing the paint could create mud, but I kept at it and worked many additional hours outside class time to get the techniques right. Now I feel like I couldn't do what I desire to do in terms of painting without my beloved oil paints.

My favorite subjects to paint are sunrises/sunsets, but I have also created my own style which I like to call “Goth Pop” which involves grayscale tones with the occasional splash of color.

I have been in several gallery/outdoor art shows, and I am always willing to put my work up in smoke-free environments.
